MDLand Achieves 21st Century Cures Act (g)(10) FHIR API Certification
MDLand is proud to announce their achievement of earning a (g)(10) FHIR certification. The (g)(10) FHIR API is considered the most rigorous 21st Century Cures Act certification to date. This new certification requires the use of Health Level 7 (HL7®) FHIR standards with several implementation specifications aimed toward patient and population health services. In December 2022, MDLand was awarded this certification to continuously innovate the iClinic® EHR platform.
The benefit to MDLand’s customers is that they will be able to easily transmit electronic health information (EHI) via the certified API without excessive restrictions, supporting advancement toward interoperability.
“It was a pleasure working with the MDLand team and seeing them progressively tackle the (g)(10) requirements to achieve a FHIR API solution fully ready for Certification testing. We’re pleased to see their successful (g)(10) Certification result and look forward to their customers’ opportunity to use this important new capability for access to patient data,” said Bob Bryan, Senior Director, Advisory Services of the Drummond Group.
Of this achievement, CEO and co-founder of MDLand James Long said, “the adoption of the standardized FHIR technology and using the certified EHR to support the 21st Century Cures Act is so important to our providers, which allows them to easily exchange patient information among network providers and in turn, provide better quality of care. At MDLand, we are committed to helping our providers remain compliant and enable them to be successful in the value-based care era, without taking on the burden themselves. They now can focus on what they do best – taking care of their patients and making patient healthy and happy.”
MDLand continues to be a leader in digital health transformation. MDLand has supported physicians and partners, including physician organizations (MSO, IPA, ACO and PPS), payers, and governmental agencies. For more information, contact support@mdland.com .
